Shaikhy
An AI-powered Islamic research engine that answers questions the way a scholar would. Grounded in primary sources, bilingual, and free for the ummah.
General AI answers religious questions wrong
Muslims increasingly ask AI models questions about the deen, and the results are often inaccurate, shallow, or subtly off. General-purpose models pull from the open web, invent citations, and mix opinion with ruling. There is no safe way to verify what they are telling you.
At the same time, reaching a scholar for every question is not realistic. People want fast, clear answers, but they also want to know the answer is grounded in something real.
An engine built on the sources, not the internet
Shaikhy is a research engine grounded in 88K+ embedded points drawn from the Quran, authentic Hadith, classical Tafsir, and recognized Fiqh. It retrieves the relevant passages first, then uses those to construct the answer, with every citation shown alongside.
Everything works in Arabic and English. Ask in either language, search happens across the original Arabic corpus, and the answer comes back in the language you asked in.
What makes it work
Grounded in Primary Sources
88K+ embedded points drawn from the Quran, authentic Hadith collections, classical Tafsir, and recognized Fiqh. Every answer is grounded in the text, not the model's guesswork.
Citation on Every Answer
No hallucinated rulings. Every response shows exactly which verse, hadith, or scholar it came from so you can verify it yourself before acting on it.
Bilingual: Arabic & English
Ask in Arabic, get answers in Arabic. Ask in English, get answers in English. Search works across the original Arabic sources regardless of the language you speak.
Free for the Ummah
Not a paid product. Shaikhy is free to use. Operating costs are covered by donations from people who want this resource to stay open for everyone.
A resource that belongs to the ummah
This is the project closest to my heart. The goal is not revenue. The goal is that every Muslim, anywhere, can ask a question about their deen and get a careful, cited answer in seconds. Shaikhy stays free, funded by donations from people who want it to stay open.
